SXC Natural Disaster Policy

In response to natural disasters, Southern Cross Certified (SXC) offers to waive certification and audit fees for operator’s that have been severely impacted. This applies to initial certification fees for transferring applicants, and annual renewal and audit fees for currently certified SXC operators.
In order to qualify for this offer, you must be able to demonstrate that you have lost at least 50% of your ability to generate revenue as a result of a natural disaster. For example, if a primary producer has lost a major part of their production unit, or a business has been directly affected, or indirectly affected through, for example, loss of supply chains.
This will then need to be confirmed by an SXC auditor at an audit.
When SXC has determined to waive fees for an operator, this will only be for the fees due in the year of the natural disaster.
